Bright white, minimalist and unexpected, MESA stands at the top of the hills that slope gently down towards the Valley of Porto Pino. It emerges suddenly from the greenery of the Mediterranean shrubland and of the vineyards, from which it observes with satisfaction the surrounding area and the fruits of the vine-growers\u2019 labor; it in turn is an object of astonishment and wonder, even for those who only glimpse it from afar.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The doorway and the fa\u00e7ade echo the fascinating design of the labels of MESA\u2019s wines. Behind the high external walls, a huge, contemporary and functional three-story space contains grapes and wine cared for with special attention and which can be observed during the production process through gleaming glass walls.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The grapes are picked and carefully selected by hand. They are then destemmed on the top floor of the winery before being left to precipitate directly into the vats on the floor below, where the must begins to ferment. The wine is then transferred into the deepest part of the cellar, where it matures in wood and in concrete tanks, several meters below ground level. The same invisible energy that enriched the vines now jealously guards their product.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The rounded bottles, fun yet at the same time severe, take their shape from the silhouette of Sardinian women when they wear their traditional costume: sacred figures of an archaic Sardinia. \u201cSu mucadore\u201d, the broad, black wool shawl around their shoulders, is not just a mantle, but a profound state of mind. \u201cSa fardetta\u201d, the tunic of black Indian canvas that covers them, is a warm embrace. Identical to each other, they epitomize feminine mystery, maternal love and sheer goodness. The designs of the wine labels, on the other hand, are inspired by old Sardinian tapestries: creations of a patient, silent art that evolves over time, just like wine. At MESA, form and content are exactly the same thing<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
